Did you know that Executive Presence requires emotional intelligence and agility ?
We usually know “executive presence” when we see it but it is harder to pin point the skills that drive it.

Executive Presence is the ability to project confidence and gravitas under pressure. In addition, a person with executive presence has the ability to ‘read the room’ to influence an audience.

Brooke Vuckovic, a clinical professor of leadership @ Kellogg Northwestern shares the following formula:

Executive presence = (Credibility + Ease) / Ego

Ease is where Emotional intelligence and agility come in: it is about self management to maintain your emotional stability under pressure and empathy to assess others emotions and be able to connect with them to be an effective communicator.

Posting in my quest to help leaders and organizations increase their emotional intelligence. Because it takes self management and empathy to have Executive Presence.
